Limited Functionality for some Models

IMPORTANT: Due to changes in CAN-bus configuration, Ténéré 700 models made after 2024 are not supported by the HEX ezCAN Yari for Yamaha.
Models from 2025 onward are supported by the HEX ezCAN PURE

Due to CAN-bus and wiring harness limitations on Ténéré 700 models, the following functions are not available:

  • The Ténéré 700’s CAN-bus does not transmit turn signal data. This has the following consequences:
    • Auxiliary front lights cannot be dimmed, turned off or flashed in tandem with active turn signals.
    • Run/Brake/Turn signal functionality is not supported (however, auxiliary rear/brake light functionality is supported).
  • The CAN-bus does not include ambient brightness data, meaning the motorcycle has no day/night brightness differentiation (affects some auxiliary front light functions)
  • Heated gear cannot be controlled using the Ténéré 700’s factory heated grip controls.
